Let’s explore the beauty of amphibians and reptiles together!
If you have aversion about amphibians and reptiles, kindly check the reasons. Most of the time, they rooted from the ‘ignorance’. Do we really value their presence in the biodiversity? If not then, there is a serious problem about our attitude towards nature. They do play a colossal role in maintaining the biodiversity. We wish to interact with you about these beautiful denizens of biodiversity, let’s explore it together.
This is a specially designed program to share knowledge about the amphibians and reptiles through interactive sessions and dedicated fieldwork. There will be brainstorming sessions on their identification, ecology, behaviour and natural history coupled with ample opportunities to have an encounter with them in the wild. There will be field outings and one can explore their potentials to photograph these denizens in natural habitat.
Learning is always fun when it is interactive!
Duration: 18 to 20 May, 2018.
Limited seats: A maximum of 10 participants.
Qualification: ‘Curious minds’.
Age limit: 18 years and above (will be bit heavy for kids below this age!)
Fee: Rs. 11,000/- (Eleven thousand only) per participant.
(This is towards food, accommodation, local transport and study material)
Things to carry: Suitable clothes, proper field shoe, cap, water bottle, small field bag, torch and spare batteries, notebook and pen, above all your sincere enthusiasm!
Accommodation: Sahyadri Nature Trails
Food: Local vegetarian (and occasionally non-vegetarian).
Participants are expected to reach Mananthavady, Wayanad at 7 AM on 18th May. We will organize a vehicle to take them to Sahyadri Nature Trails which is around 20 kms away.
